Had more than 30 publications in the recent 5 years. The main research works include:
1. Tissue engineer mesh: adipose derived stems (ADSC) cell and silk protein scaffolds are used to develop a novel mesh for prolapse repair in which animal experiments show a better histocompatibility and strengthen.
2. MRI and biomechanical: We have dedicated for assessment and therapy pelvic floor dysfunction disease using MRI for years, for example, dynamic magnetic resonance for evaluating stages of POP by fast imaging employing steady state acquisition (CINEFiesta) images, 2-dimensional images for structural and anatomic abnormal pelvic floor support by axial, coronal and sagittal T2 weighted FSE MRI scan, 3-dimensional model for space geometrical feature of support structure by using three dimensional post-processing software such as Mimics and Auto-CAD, finite element model of anterior vaginal wall and its supports to biomechanical analyze and imitate AWP formation, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and fiber tractography for evaluating the integrity of levator muscle fiber before and after delivery. With the collaboration of Biomechanical department of PKU, our team has already established a preliminary 3-dimensional-finite-element-model of normal female pelvic floor with majority of pelvic support structures, which is conducted to study the biomechanical characteristic and mechanism of AWP, and further able to use the mature and stable model as a tool giving more references for the choice of conservative treatment and surgical plan.
