About Us 

Founded on January 27, 1918, Peking University People’s Hospital (PKUPH) is the first general hospital financed and operated by Chinese nationals. Throughout the past century, the hospital has had a consistent commitment to providing high-quality patient care, excellent education, and innovative research.

At PKUPH, our experts offer sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery. Currently, 1,300 physicians, 2,466 nurses, and 1,076 supporting staff work in three campuses equipped with over 2,600 beds in Beijing. Collectively, these campuses annually:

•         admit more than 153,580 inpatients

•         handle nearly 3,378,525 outpatient visits   

•         record about 238,936 emergency room visits

•         perform approximately 66,030 surgical procedures
