Dr. Gao Jie has been working in frontline clinical abdominal surgery, specializing in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, splenic and gastrointestinal surgeries, particularly in minimally invasive tumor surgery and comprehensive treatment. He pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in the United States and studied at the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic as a visiting scholar, continuously honing his skills. In 2008, he led the first batch of medical teams from PKUPH sent by the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China for Wenchuan earthquake relief in Sichuan Province and successfully completed the rescue tasks. Dr. Gao has participated in and undertaken multiple national major scientific research projects. He possesses rich clinical experience in perioperative management of liver transplantation, donor procurement and preservation, reconstruction of the hepatic artery and bile duct during surgery, and prevention and treatment of severe postoperative infections. In recent years, Dr. Gao has applied laparoscopic minimally invasive therapy for diseases of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen, and comprehensive methods for treating liver tumors, thus enhancing treatment outcomes. In addition to his exceptional clinical skills, he has been adept at summarizing practice and theory. He authored academic monographs such as the Abdominal Organ Transplantation Manual and Surgery.
