On November 19, 2025, a delegation from the Azerbaijan Aliyev State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians visited Peking University People’s Hospital, accompanied by staff from Peking University Health Science Center.

Vice President Wang Tianbing introduced the hospital’s strengths and long-standing experience in research, clinical care, and medical education, as well as its vision for international cooperation. Rector Nazim Panahov expressed appreciation for the development of China’s healthcare system and conveyed strong interest in establishing long-term cooperation in areas such as faculty exchange and physician training.

The two sides held discussions on potential collaboration, including medical student exchange and advanced training opportunities for young physicians. Peking University People’s Hospital will actively promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding to advance future cooperation.

This visit laid a solid foundation for practical collaboration in talent development and scientific research. Both sides expressed their expectation to work together under the framework of the Health Silk Road to benefit the peoples of both countries.
