On May 14, a delegation of senior health administrators from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, together with representatives from China's National Health Commission (NHC) and the Tsinghua University Russian Institute, visited Peking University People's Hospital (PKUPH). Director-General Yang Jianli of the NHC Healthcare Reform Department and Secretary-General Liu Wei of the Tsinghua University Russian Institute participated in the meeting, along with more than 60 representatives. The meeting was attended by PKUPH Vice President Wang Jianliu, Vice President Wang Tianbing, and representatives from the Administration Office, Human Resources Department, Operations Management Department, Medical Services Management Department, Office of International Affairs and External Cooperation, and Arthritis Clinic and Research Center.
On behalf of the hospital, PKUPH Vice President Wang Jianliu extended a warm welcome to all the guests. Speaking on behalf of the visiting delegation, Director Karabulut Tatiana Sergeevna of the Russian Center for the Development and Innovation of Vocational Education expressed sincere appreciation for PKUPH's warm reception. She expressed hope that the visit would offer valuable insights on advanced healthcare services and management practices that could be adapted to the contexts of CIS countries to serve their populations better.
In his welcome address, PKUPH Vice President Wang Tianbing gave an overview of PKUPH's developments in medical care, education, and research. He highlighted the hospital's commitment to improving medical services and management, along with the corresponding practical initiatives.
Director-General Yang Jianli from the NHC then provided the CIS delegation with an overview of China's ongoing healthcare system reform. In addition, PKUPH representatives also delivered comprehensive presentations on hospital personnel management, operational development, and healthcare quality management.
After the meeting, the CIS delegation was guided through several areas of the hospital, including the Healthcare Management Center, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, the outpatient hall, the Clinical Competence Center, the Department of International Medical Services, and the Cosmetic Dermatology Center. PKUPH representatives provided detailed explanations on medical services and technological strengths. The delegation spoke highly of the hospital's advanced facilities and professional services.
This visit is expected to deepen mutual understanding and lay a solid foundation for potential collaboration between PKUPH and CIS medical institutions.
