The 36th International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) Annual Meeting in conjunction with Peking University Gynecologic Oncology Summit Forum was held from May 24th to 26th at the Beijing International Convention Center, jointly organized by ISGE and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Science Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association. Themed "MIGS (Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery) for Better Female Healthcare", this conference was dedicated to advancing the newest knowledge on Gynecologic Endoscopy and promoting Vaginal Surgery. Wang Jianliu, Vice President of Peking University People’s Hospital (PKUPH) and Chief Physician of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at PKUPH, delivered the opening and closing speeches.

ISGE, established in 1989, is a renowned non-profit international society with core members from over 90 countries and regions. Over the years, the society has been dedicated to sharing and imparting expertise in MIGS and has gained global recognition for promoting renowned experts from Europe and America to share experiences in gynecologic endoscopic surgery as well as vaginal surgery with developing countries.

Professor Wang Jianliu led a team of around one hundred gynecology experts to Malaysia one year ago to bid for the right to host the 36th ISGE Annual Meeting in 2024, introducing the ISGE Annual Meeting to China for the first time. The conference provided domestic practitioners in obstetrics and gynecology with a global platform for showcasing and exchanging ideas. It is not only a comprehensive demonstration of gynecologic endoscopic technology but also an important opportunity to promote the development of this field.

After a year of elaborate preparation, the conference attracted over 100 internationally renowned experts in gynecologic endoscopy and urogynecology, 300 specialists, and 1,330 practitioners. The conference comprised one main venue and 16 sub-venues, featuring keynote speeches, workshops, and live streaming of surgeries. The main venue invited famous experts to give keynote speeches on the international cutting-edge academic progress in gynecological endoscopy and vaginal surgery. At the same time, high-quality hands-on workshops and live streaming of surgeries on endoscopic skill training were conducted to share surgical tips and tricks, as well as cutting-edge techniques.

The conference concluded on May 26th. Anneli Linnamägi, Vice President of ISGE, expressed that this grand event showcased new techniques and advancements, sparking innovative thinking in gynecologic endoscopic technology.

The successful conclusion of the 36th ISGE Annual Meeting in conjunction with Peking University Gynecologic Oncology Summit Forum not only deepened international exchanges and cooperation but also marked a new chapter for the development of gynecologic endoscopic technology.
