Nephrology | Successful Conclusion of the 2023 CHA Blood Purification Center Branch Annual Conference and 15th China Blood Purification Academic Symposium

The "2023 Chinese Hospital Association (CHA) Blood Purification Center Branch Annual Conference and 15th China Blood Purification Academic Symposium," organized by the CHA Blood Purification Center Branch and hosted by the Nephrology Department of Peking University People’s Hospital (PKUPH), concluded successfully in Qingdao after three-day high-efficient exchanges from August 31.

 

Themed "Innovation, Practicality, Standard Management: Boosting High-Quality Development of Blood Purification Centers(创新求实 规范管理 助力血液净化中心高质量发展)," the event featured a seamless integration of keynote addresses, special lectures, academic sessions, oral presentations in parallel sessions, and poster exhibitions. The conference comprised a total of 161 special lectures, 24 oral presentations, 1201 submitted abstracts, and 304 poster displays, with over a thousand delegates in attendance.



Key figures present included Vice President of the CHA and President of Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital (Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences) Yu Xueqing, Deputy Secretary-General of the CHA Liu Fudong, Vice President of PKUPH Wang Jianliu, Vice President of Shandong Provincial Hospital Wang Rong, Director of the Blood Purification Center Branch of the CHA and Professor in the Nephrology Department of PKUPH Wei Tao, and Honorary Director of the Blood Purification Center Branch of the CHA and Director of the Nephrology Department of PKUPH Zuo Li.

 

The conference witnessed fruitful discussions among experts and scholars on the new developments, trends, and demands in blood purification. Participants shared their research findings and experiences. It is believed that the collective efforts of healthcare professionals will definitely propel China’s blood purification sector to a new high in both quality and scope.
