Dr. Zhao has been engaging in the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic diseases, including various malignant hematologic diseases, aplastic anemia, immune thrombocytopenia and myeloproliferative disorders. She has also conducted clinical and basic research on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for various blood diseases and immunotherapy. As a principal investigator for 14 national- and provincial-level grants, including 6 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, she has published over 70 papers as the first corresponding author in journals such as Cellular & Molecular Immunology, Journal of Hematology Oncology, Clinical Infectious Disease, Leukemia, International Journal of Biological Sciences, and JCI Insight. Additionally, Dr. Zhao holds 5 granted invention patents and has transformed 1 patent and practical use. Dr. Zhao has been awarded the second prize for the National Scientific and Technological Progress twice by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China for her achievement in key technologies for Haploidentical Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and a novel prevention and treatment system for Leukemia Relapse and Graft-versus-Host Disease after transplantation.
