MDT | Birth of "Mobile Cabin Baby"

On the evening of October 20, loud cries of a baby filled the Central Operating Room of Peking University People's Hospital. Then, the mother and the newborn were transferred to the mobile cabin isolation ward and received warm and professional care.

The mother, Ms. Zhang, with the history of high risk soiree and close contact to Covid-19, became a "high risk" expectant mother during the perinatal period. Peking University People's Hospital attached great importance to this case. The Epidemic Prevention & Control Team and the Medical Emergency Response Team launched emergency plans. Obstetric Ultrasound, Central Operating Room, Anesthesiology, Neonatal Care, ICU and other departments were fully prepared.

Obstetricians, anesthesiologists and nurses wore airtight protective suit, goggles and splash screens in strict accordance with the three-level protection standards. Sweating caused the goggles to fog which affected visual acuity and surgical field of vision of medical staff. However, with state of the art technology and rich experience, the medical staff overcame the difficulties with fine skills and successfully performed a cesarean section. The mother and the baby were safe to everyones relief.

In addition to epidemic prevention and control, Peking University People's Hospital has been treating patients wholeheartedly and systematically , bringing satisfaction to the people.
