Visits | Peking University People's Hospital Successfully Holds "Talent Training Course for Sino-African Friendship Hospitals"

Entrusted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the International Health Exchange and Cooperation Center of the National Health Commission (NHC), Peking University People’s Hospital (PKUPH) successfully held “Talent Training Course for Sino-African Friendship Hospitals" from April 13 to 26, 2022. Nearly 40 health officials and medical practitioners from Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Botswana and Mauritius, participated in the 14-days online course.
On the opening ceremony, Ms.Wang Jian, Deputy Director of the International Health Exchange and Cooperation Center of NHC and Prof. Wang Tianbing, Vice President of Peking University People's Hospital delivered speeches respectively. Deputy Director Wang Jian fully recognized the important contribution of Peking University People's Hospital to China-Aid Training. On behalf of the hospital, Prof. Wang Tianbing warmly welcomed the African health officials to study and exchange online and expressed the hope that we could promote understanding and establish friendship through mutual exchange and learning.
As COVID-19 continues to spread, hospitals in all countries face many challenges in modern, scientific and refined management. The training course mainly focused on the development of Chinese health system reform, theory and practice of modern hospital management, hospital medical quality and safety, COVID-19 prevention and control strategies, nursing quality management, prevention and control of hospital infection, development of hospital information system, telemedicine and intelligent hospital construction, high-quality medical service and adverse events management, medical education system, scientific research project management, hospital logistics management and application of mobile cabins, etc, with a total of 19 courses.
At the end of the 14-day training course, the African trainees have benefited a lot and expressed their deep gratitude to the high-quality lecturers and high-level course organization, as well as their sincere hope to have the opportunity to come to China for in-depth study after the Covid-19 epidemic.
This course is the seventh China-Aid Training organized by Peking University People's Hospital in recent years. China and Africa share a common destiny and the friendship cannot be separated by mountains and oceans. Peking University People's Hospital will work with the African counterparts to promote health and make due contributions to the well-being of Chinese and African people.
