About us 

The library was established in 1950 with medical literature as the major collection. It functions as a professional department providing supports and services to the hospital in its health-care, education and research. The library occupies an area of 1,100㎡with three reading rooms equipped with more than 100 seats and 30 computers. We share our literature resources with the libraries of Peking University and PKUHSC. Readers can search in more than 190 professional medical databases based at home and abroad, like Pubmed, Medline, Web of Science and Elsevier, etc., on any computer in the library for free. There are 4,194 accessible electronic journals which are published in foreign languages. The library also has a collection of more than 80,000 articles，36178 foreign journals and 17574 Chinese journals. The library has introduced office automation management and readers can consult, reserve, and renew books online.
