Academician WANG Jun’s Team Publishes New Research Results in Nature Communications

2021-06-11

Recently, the research paper entitled “Patient-Derived Organoids Analyzed on a Superhydrophobic Microwell Array for Predicting Drug Response of Lung Cancer Patients within a Week” by Academician WANG Jun’s Team of Peking University People’s Hospital, Prof. LIU Peng’s team of Tsinghua University, and Prof. CHEN Xiaofang’s team of Beihang University was published online in the top international journal Nature Communications.

The research teams, combining the two cutting-edge technologies of microfluidic chips and tumor organoids, developed an integrated superhydrophobic microwell array chip (InSMARchip). Through the cross-field research, the authors reported that the lung cancer-derived organoids (LCOs) coupled with the InSMAR-chip may provide an efficient means for predicting patient-specific drug responses in lung cancer promptly.
